“today we’re here at banks power to introduce you to the four channel analog module the four channel thermocouple module for use with the iDash 1.8 and Data monster and all of the sensors to work with the entire system the banks bus modules are extremely easy to use and very powerful when you use them with the iDash 1.8 super gauge or data monster. They come in three flavors- the four channel analog, the four channel analog with frequency, and the 4 channel thermocouple module. As their name implies you can hook up to 4 sensors per module, while the 4 channel thermocouple module is strictly for use with k-type sensors. The analog module is really versatile and can be used with a whole host of sensors including pressure, air temp, fluid, and high temp. Analog EGT sensors and every base bus module is plug-and-play connecting directly to the iDash. Each adds up to four sensors per module to expand upon the iDash 1.8. Each module sends data at a rate of 20 samples per second to the iDash for monitoring display or data logging, and the modules are compatible with a variety of pressure and temperature sensors available from base or other manufacturers and you can chain up the six analog modules and four thermocouple modules for a whopping 40 sensor inputs and if you configure the sensors in a certain way you can unlock special calculated parameters including density Delta temperature, Delta pressure, and much more and if you have a special sensor that we don’t offer like this float sensor it’s okay it’s plug-and-play now let’s take a look at some of the sensors that are available for the analog module you’ve got a durable stainless steel high accuracy pressure sensor suitable for air or fluid pressure measurement available in a variety of sensor ranges in both gauge and absolute scaling a quick response 3/8 NPT air temperature sensor it features an open element and is suitable for a variety of air track measurements it’s got a range of negative 40 to 275 degrees Fahrenheit available in 1/8 and 3 at the NPT these fluid temp sensors have an enclosed element designed for reading fluid temperatures such as engine oil coolant or transmission fluid temp a high range analog temperature sensor for eg tea or other temperature reads up to 1,800 degrees Fahrenheit making it suitable for EGT measurement without requiring a thermocouple they have a 1/8 NPT compression fitting for adjustable tip insertion depth up to 1 inch if you want to add a custom sensor you can wire it into this universal analog input pigtail the 4 channel analog module is compatible with most 5 volt sensors and variable resistance sensors it plugs into one of the 4 branches of the analog sensor harness and contains a 5 volt ground and signal wire you can then configure the sensor scaling and the parameter mapping in the iDash 1.8 if you purchase the kit with the optional frequency input you can wire in your frequency signal sensor using this pigtail and we’re expanding our sensor offerings to include mass flow turbo speed and other frequency base sensors and wiring is a cinch all of the information travels through one cable through the firewall to your iDash and the simple weatherproof locking mechanism joins all of the modules cables air mouse ambient sensor module and even the derringer and line tuner there’s no splicing soldering or messy cable setups it’s just stack the modules and get on the road the banks bus modules offer endless possibilities”
