Tips and Tricks
The updated version of the Gate Defender has a few small tricks that are due to it’s enhanced security measures. The first thing you may come across is the function of the key and lock cylinder.

When inserting the key, turn counter-clockwise and hold in the turned position to release the hasp. Turning the key and letting go WILL NOT open it. The next thing you will notice is that the hasp has a very tight fit within the plastic housing. You will need to give it a good tug to pull it out and a good push to pop it back in.
